Visual Experiences
Image and video renders have stood the test of time as powerful methods of communicating projects but the technology of today offers all-new methods of experiencing visualization. Creating an interactive, photorealistic 3D model in Beyond CAD opens incredible possibilities to navigate and present your project including interactive presentations, virtual reality, driving simulators and more.
So while we hope you will use the power of Beyond CAD to create beautiful image and video renders, once you use visual experiences you may never think of visualization the same again.
To start, simply press F1, F2 or F3. You can also access 3rd and 1st person from the Present section of Beyond CAD Studio (bottom blue).
Don't just see your project, experience it

Presenter Mode
Real-time navigation with benefits.

First Person
See the project from a 1st person perspective.

3rd Person
Walk the project with a virtual character.

Driving Simulator
Drive the project in 3rd or 1st person.

Virtual Reality
Coming soon.

Presenter Mode
We’ve learned through years of experience and working with dozens of clients that the most effective visualization is interactive. With Presenter mode you can quickly switch between pre-set cameras, adjust important settings and navigate freely with a clean UI. PERFECT for client meetings.
When a project has been phased the phases can be turned on/off in real-time in Presenter mode. Because the phasing is disconnected from the cameras you can quickly switch phases on and off independent of where the camera is. Note: phasing with a high number of assets may take considerable time to load on or off.
Chose which cameras, settings and widgets are displayed during Presenter mode. Included in the widgets is a compact – and attractive – mini GANTT player.
While the Presenter mode works perfectly fine with any mouse input it is especially powerful while used with a touch screen. If the future is touch the future is here.
To enter 1st or 3rd Person mode, first click Beyond CAD Studio (red button) on the bottom left of the UI. Then click the Present tab and Present button on the right. Once in Presenter mode click the ‘puppet’ icon on the left toolbar. Us WASD and mouse for looking and instructions to toggle characters and switch between 1st and 3rd person are in the top left instruction box.

1st/3rd Person View
Because Beyond CAD is powered with Unreal Engine it is optimized for use of 1st and 3rd person viewing. But not only is this a gimmick for gamers, these immersive visual experiences allow users to see their projects in perhaps the most natural way possible- through their own eyes.
Switch between characters and adjust speed between walking and running.
Whether you are reviewing the project of your scene or presenting to clients and/or stakeholders the 1st or 3rd person experiences will give a human view of large scale projects.
To use your Xbox or other bluetooth controller, simply connect it via bluetooth to your PC. Navigating your project has never been so easy… or fun.

Driving Simulator
Just press F2. That’s it!
Our theory behind the driving simulator is that it shouldn’t be difficult or confusing. With the press of a key you can instantly drive a project. Pressing T can quickly drop you into the drivers seat. Use WASD to steer and the mouse to look around.
To give ultimate flexibility you can toggle between 4 vehicles in real time. Each is unique inside and out and highly realistic with reflections showing on the exterior paint and interior windows.

Optimized Beyond CAD Scenes
Visual experiences all start with an optimized Beyond CAD scene. Because Beyond CAD is built using video game technology it is possible to create scenes that look fantastic in real-time.
Open-Ended Potential
Presenter mode and future visual experiences such as virtual reality, driving simulators and first person view are just the beginning of visual experiences. Once the optimized scene has been built there will be an expanding number of options to view the Beyond CAD project including augmented reality, remote viewing and probably options that haven't even been invented!
Interact Smoothly
The smoothness of interactive experiences can be improved by careful planning of asset placement (more may slow down performance) as well as better hardware. The latest RTX graphics cards, for example, can handle highly complex scenes with no trouble at all.
Remote Viewing
Due to advancements in remote meeting technology (Zoom, Teams, Slack, Hangouts... ect...) interactive presentations are possible across the globe, instantly. This technology will only get better - both from the Beyond CAD team and from inevitable improvements in remote streaming tech.
